A Note from Pastor Nathan
God is doing great things in our church as we reach our community. In anticipation of what God might be doing next, 6 months ago, our church leadership began praying, dreaming, and planning the next steps that God would have for us so we can reach 10% of our community. We fully anticipated God to do great things in us and through us!
Over the past 100+ years, there have been many steps that we have taken. There have been new facilities built, name changes, and even location changes. Sacrifices have been made by our church over the years to get us where we are today. One thing that has not changed since we started, is the heart our church, which is to engage our community and reach the world with the love of Jesus, helping people move from where they are to where God wants them to be.
The impact of that simple mission has grown Turning Point's influence in ways only God could accomplish. As we have made room for more people and ministries each year, more people than ever have taken steps toward a life of discipleship and ministry alongside us. Now, once again, we're faced with another challenge as we need to create a space to better welcome and embrace those who will come in and experience the love of God. We want to help everyone experience Jesus and continue to grow in their faith!
To do this, we have some big goals for the next two years, and we will all need to make the same kinds of sacrifices made 100 years ago when our Church was planted. We will need to commit to reaching those around us by giving of ourselves and giving of our resources.
With all of this in mind, we are launching the Imagine If Initiative. The word Imagine was chosen to highlight that before we can reach people for Jesus, we need to Imagine them in a friendship, and we need to create spaces to connect with them where they are, so we can invite them to where God wants them to be.
Giving of ourselves: We are asking everyone to commit to investing in "one" person's life who does not know Jesus yet. Become a friend to them, change your schedule to include them in your life, and pray for them!
Giving of our resources: We are asking everyone to commit to giving financially to the "Imagine If Initiative" for the next 2 years. It's not equal giving, it's equal sacrifice.
I know God has even greater things in store for us as we continue to advance His kingdom in our community.
I love you all!

What is the Imaginative If Initiative
The word Imagine was chosen to highlight that before we can reach people for Jesus, we need to Imagine them in a friendship, and we need to create spaces to connect with them where they are, so we can invite them to where God wants them to be. You'll be hearing more about Imagine If in the coming weeks.
The Imagine If is a two-part initiative.
First, we are asking everyone to commit to investing in "one" person's life who does not know Jesus yet. Become a friend to them, change your schedule to include them in your life, and pray for them!
Secondly, we are asking everyone to commit to giving financially to the "Imagine If Initiative" for the next 2 years. It's not equal giving, it's equal sacrifice.
We'll be launching “Imagine If” on March 30th, with a six-week long sermon series, concluding with a celebration weekend on May 18th.
During this six-week time frame, you will all be invited to a “Vision Gathering” to ask questions and receive more information than we have time to share in a worship service.
We will also have an unforgettable night of Prayer and Worship on Sunday, April 27th at 6:30 pm.
Finally, you will have an opportunity to invite your friends to The Great, Big, Fun Get-Together at the church on May 10th (11 am – 2 pm) for a time of food, fun, games, much more!
OUR PRIMARY NEEDS INCLUDE...
Eliminating our Church Debt
Our first financial goal is to eliminate our church debt so we can use those resources to do other ministries and make a greater impact in our community for Jesus.
Lobby and Parking Lot Refresh
We know by research that people make up their mind in the first 2 minutes of
entering a worship setting if they will come back or not.
We are looking to make a powerful first impression and set each visitor up
for a lasting impression that will make them want to come back and ultimately make this their home.
If we don’t address our parking lot, it will cause greater and more costly issues down the road.
We have a great worship team. To help continue in the great experiences we need to update our current system. There are also many variances in sound from the front to the back, and side to side and in between. These changes will make the experience great for every seat. It will also make our online presence more effective, streamlined, and sound better.
Yes, we still believe that God has a whole teen building for us. The cost of a whole new building would be $500,000+ and currently is way over our budget amount. We are taking the first steps to build the group through this visual refresh and then will look at the building in the future.
At Turning Point, we’re embarking on Imagine If, a two-year initiative inviting everyone who calls our church their home to join in two meaningful commitments.
Commit to intentionally praying for and building a relationship with your "One" - a friend, neighbor, or family member who isn't connected to Jesus
We hope to raise $400,000 over the next two years to refresh the lobby and teen room; repair and maintain our parking lot, and upgrade our sound system.
By embracing both relational and financial commitments as one church family, we have the opportunity to make a lasting impact—transforming lives in our community today and for generations to come.
