Life Groups

A Life Group is a small group of people who meet together, study together, and do life together.
We encourage you to join a Life Group either on Sunday mornings or throughout the week in the evenings.

At Turning Point Nazarene, Life Groups aren’t just what we do, it’s who we are. For us, doing life together is far more than a catch-phrase, it’s a biblical conviction. We believe that God never meant for us to do life alone.
We were created to walk with each other, to grow with one another and to glorify God together.

This is why our Life Groups are places where people of all stages of life and backgrounds can come together and be real. No judgments attached. Just imperfect people, trying to love a perfect God.  You and your family don’t have to make the journey of faith alone.  We invite you to find how life is better... together.

Life Groups are all about authentic biblical relationships. They are small groups of individuals/couples that meet on a regular basis to mutually encourage each other in Christ. They are places to take what we know about Jesus and help each other begin applying that knowledge to our every day lives. Each one of our groups take on a shape of its own, defined by the personalities and engagement of the group members. Our hope is that no matter what group you land in, it will be a safe, trusted place for you to find hope in Jesus — no matter where you are in life or on your journey of faith.

SUNDAY MORNING LIFE GROUPS

“12 Extraordinary Women of the Bible”
Jeff Crist

12 Extraordinary Women offers a poignant and personal look into the lives of some of the Bible's most faithful women, teaching modern believers that true faith can leave a lasting legacy. These women were ordinary, common, and even in some cases ostracized and rejected by society, yet each was made extraordinary by her life-changing encounter with God.

“Isaiah: A Message of Warning and Hope”
Stan Kennedy

The book of Isaiah is often referred to the fifth gospel due to it's message about God's intended salvation and redemption for His people. As a prophet Isaiah is called to speak a message on behalf of God. Throughout the Old Testament, God calls prophets, who He sends to proclaim His vision for the world to His people. The prophet's primary goal as God's messenger is to exhort and correct the people. Like his fellow prophets Isaiah too seeks to call the people back to God.

“The Beatitudes”
Don Linville

What does it mean to be blessed? And more importantly, how do we become someone who is blessed? The kind of life God is calling us to may not look like we imagined, but it will be better than we could have hoped. In this 8 session series Pastor Matt Chandler takes us through the Beatitudes and shows us what it means to live in the kingdom of God. Through Jesus' teaching learn what the blessed life really looks like.

“Nazarene Essentials”
Pastor Nathan Haeck

Nazarene Essentials: Who We Are, What We Believe explains why the Church of the Nazarene exists as a worldwide Holiness and Great Commission movement in the Wesleyan-Arminian tradition. For clergy and laity, Nazarene Essentials offers a way to better understand the church’s purpose of spreading scriptural holiness and its mission to make Christlike disciples in the nations.

Revelation
Roger Unruh

One of the least understood books in the Bible is Revelation. The apostle John, an original disciple of Jesus, received the mystical visions that became Revelation while exiled on the Roman prison island of Patmos. John is clear in his revelation that Jesus will return and raise all dead people to life. Although this end of the world class of literature is very bleak, the overall theme of Revelation has hope for the believer.
